All the codes and combinations out in the world and how to find them.
The Last of Us Part 2 is the sequel to the beloved game where we saw Ellie and Joel travel across America in search for a cure to the Cordyceps fungi virus. The sequel is mostly set in a dark and dismal Seattle and you’ll find yourself within much more ‘open’ settings, compared to the first game. Almost like mini-open worlds to traverse.
Throughout these mini-worlds are hidden safes. If you can crack the codes to them, you’ll get the goodies inside. Usually just ammo and others resources. Considering ammo is fairly limited in this game, you’ll want to open these!
To find the codes, there are clues hidden within the surrounding area. Usually fairly close to where the safes are and usually in the form of a note. Sometimes the notes just have the safe codes written on them. In other cases, they give you a clue which requires further investigation.
In this guide, I’ve got all the safe codes that you’ll need and a brief explanation on how they were found. Maybe you just want the codes and be on your way. Or maybe your curious on how they were figured out. Either way, you’ll be cracking open those safes in no time and getting all the goods inside!
1 . Jackson Patrol - Inside the Market Safe
SAFE COMBO – 07 20 13
You’ll find the safe inside the market office. The clue for safe is “the date my good boy got employee of the month”. If you go just outside the office, you’ll find the date on the notice board 07 20 13 and that’s the code.
2 . Seattle Day 1 Downtown - Westlake Bank Safe
VAULT COMBO – 60 23 06
You’ll first need to clear out the infected from inside the bank. Then make your way towards the back, to the vault area. There’s a note by a deceased attempted bank robber. The note has the vault code on it, 60 23 06.
3 . Seattle Day 1 Downtown - Gate West 2 Safe
SAFE COMBO – 04 51
This safe is hidden away behind an old checkpoint. The wall reads, “use the gate code”. According to the note you found earlier, that code is 04 51.
4 . Seattle Day 1 Downtown - Court House Safe
SAFE COMBO – 86 07 22
Just before you head down to the basement, there’s a small office facing the elevators and that’s where the safe is. The door is blocked, so break the window to get in. The safe code is written on the whiteboard, 86 07 22.
5 . Seattle Day 1 Downtown Capitol Hill - The Thrift Store Safe
SAFE COMBO – 55 01 33
As you make your way through the area covered in trip-wire mines, there’s a small thrift store. The safe is inside. The notice board tells you the safe code is the last 6 digits of Staci’s phone number, which you’ll find written in the bathroom, The code is 55 01 33.
6. Seattle Day 1 The Tunnels - Door Combination
DOOR COMBO – 152 43
Down in the tunnels you’ll find yourself within a small collection of rooms. There’s a note saying to grab a soda to get the clue to open the locked door. One of the vending machines will have a soda in it. Smash the glass to grab it. The soda tells you the first 3 numbers are 152. That only leaves two numbers left on the door to punch in. The code is 15243.
7 . Seattle Day 2 Hillcrest - The Garage Safe
SAFE COMBO – 30 82 65
When you pull away the green dumpster, you’ll be bombarded by a group of infected. Once taken care of, you’ll find a safe within the garage. The safe code is back across the main street. Make your way into the bar, take care of the infected and the code is written on the back wall of the kitchen. The code is 30 82 65.
8 . Seattle Day 2 The Seraphites - Apartment Bedroom Safe
SAFE COMBO – 10 08 83
On your way to the hospital you’ll pass an apartment building. Inside one of the bedrooms is a safe. There’s a note in the apartment that tells you the safe code is the date of their wedding. There’s a calendar hung up on the bedroom wall with a date marked “30th wedding anniversary”. Minus 30 years off that date and you’ve got the code, which is 10 08 83.
9 . Seattle Day 2 The Seraphites - Weston's Pharmacy Safe
SAFE COMBO – 38 55 23
Inside the Pharmacy is a note behind the cash register. It has the safe code written on it, 38 55 23. Behind the register is a small hole in the wall, at ground level. Crawl through it and you’ll find the safe.
10 . Seattle Day 3 The Flooded City - The Flooded Room Safe
SAFE COMBO – 70 12 64
As you’re travelling on boat, you’ll reach an area with a locked shutter. Beside it is a locked room with a safe. Go upstairs and by a body will be a note with the safe code, 70 12 64. Pull the trolley out of the way and you can crawl through to a ledge. Drop down to access the safe.
11 . Seattle Day 1 On Foot - Gun Safe
SAFE COMBO – 17 38 07
Just after the boat hangar will be a cabin building with a locked door. Access the building by breaking a window. Inside there is a note saying the gun safe combination is the numbers from the “big win”. The Lotto numbers are on the noticeboard, which are 17 38 07. Continue further towards the larger building. There’s a gap on the outer wall you can slide through. The gun safe is inside.
12 . Seattle Day 1 Hostile Territory - Jasmine Bakery Safe
SAFE COMBO – 68 96 89
You’ll eventually reach this small alleyway. Jasmine Bakery on the left. There’s a safe inside. To get the code, make your way upstairs. Clear out the infected, then jump off the ledge to the shop across the street. Downstairs there’s a note with the safe code, 68 96 89.
13 . Seattle Day 1 The Coast - The Ferry Safe
SAFE COMBO – 90 77 01
When you first enter the ferry and go upstairs, you’ll find yourself in a narrow hallway. Take care of the infected first and at the end of the hall, you’ll find a note with the safe code on it, 90 77 01. Then head up to the top deck where you’ll take on even more infected! The safe is in the bridge room.
14 . Seattle Day 2 The Short Cut - The Apartment Safe
SAFE COMBO – 30 23 04
On your way to the sky bridge, you’ll come across an apartment building. Inside there’s a note left between 2 neighbours. The note details the safe code is “our apartment number and then your apartment number”. The apartment you’re in is 302 and the neighbour’s is 304, therefore the safe combination is 30 23 04.
15 . Seattle Day 3 The Descent - The Gym Safe
SAFE COMBO – 12 18 79
When you first enter the gym, there’s a poster on the wall with the wi-fi code on it, 121879. As you make your way through the gym and down the back, you’ll find the cafe. Here there’s a note saying the safe combination is the wi-fi password, so the safe combination is 12 18 79. The safe is in a small room just outside of the main gym area.
